The summer transfer window has drawn to a close, and Arsenal have made a series of calculated moves in both their men’s and women’s teams.

With hefty signings and inevitable departures, the club has strategically revamped its squad. Here’s a detailed roundup of all their summer business.

  • Arsenal’s men’s team have made headline signings such as Declan Rice for £105m and Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
  • The women’s team has also strengthened, with Laia Codina and Alessio Russo among the notable additions.
  • A host of players, including Rob Holding and Folarin Balogun, have exited the club, while many young talents have been loaned out for experience.

Arsenal have been active, investing heavily in talent such as David Raya on loan with an option from Brentford and Declan Rice from West Ham for £105m.

Further enriching their squad, the Gunners procured Jurrien Timber for £34.3m from Ajax and Kai Havertz from Chelsea.

A number players have moved on to pastures new.

Rob Holding has joined Crystal Palace for £1m plus £3.5m in add-ons, while Folarin Balogun was sold to Monaco for £35m.

Matt Turner has moved to Nottingham Forest for £7m, and Auston Trusty to Sheffield United for £5m, among others.

Young talents such as Omar Rekik have been loaned to Wigan Athletic, while Albert Sambi Lokonga heads to Luton Town, and Arthur Okonkwo to Wrexham.

Contracts have been renewed for a number of players including Josh Robinson, Elian Quesada-Thorn, Reiss Nelson, Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, and Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal Women have also been busy, acquiring Laia Codina for €100k+ from FC Barcelona and Alessio Russo on a free transfer from Manchester United.

Cloe Lacasse and Amanda Ilestedt were also added to the squad.

Departing the women’s team were Anna Patten and Fran Stenson, both of whom have reached the end of their contracts.

Mana Iwabuchi also left the club at the end of her contract and has since announced her retirement from playing.
