Arsenal have confirmed the permanent departure of 20-year-old striker Nikolaj Moller to Swiss Super League side FC St. Gallen, following the conclusion of his loan to FC Den Bosch.

St. Gallen confirm that Moller has signed a long-term deal lasting until 2027, and he’ll wear the number 19 with his new club.

Moller had initially joined Arsenal from Malmo in 2020, spending his first season with the u21s and providing 10 goal contributions in 18 games.

That form was enough to get Moller his first loan in senior football with FC Viktoria Koln, and he went on to join FC Den Bosch in January 2022.

After a few months disrupted by injuries, Moller returned to Den Bosch for a full season in 2022/23, and across the two spells he scored seven and assisted two goals in 35 games.

Injuries were problematic again this season, and getting fit and consistently making the starting lineup will be key to ensuring Moller’s spell with St. Gallen is a successful one.

“We are happy that Nikolaj has signed a long-term contract with us. He is young and can develop optimally with us,” said Alain Sutter, head of sport at St. Gallen.
