Are they really so different as to justify the completely different way they’ve been treated by the press?

Alex Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Granit Xhaka were absolutely brilliant during Arsenal’s first win of the season against Watford.

After reports from Germany emerged claiming that Mesut Ozil is happy to extend his contract with Arsenal unless Real Madrid come for him, The Times decided to run with the story that we’re worried because Mesut and Alexis Sanchez are yet to commit their future to the club.

Mesut Ozil reckons that Manchester United and Manchester City will do well next season, with the playmaker being particularly impressed by Pep Guardiola’s new signings.

Granit Xhaka recently sang Mesut Ozil’s praises, claiming that he can’t wait to play alongside him and that the playmaker is the best no.10 in the world.

Wednesday was full of the usual fun – I mean that sarcastically, of course – and some news.

According to Sport Bild, Mesut Ozil wants to extend his contract at Arsenal but only if Real Madrid don’t come back for him.

Arsenal have received a boost after Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud all returned to training as scheduled.

Liverpool’s Emra Can and our very own Mesut Ozil seem to be firm friends and the fact that Can has been pictured wearing the playmakers signature cap just cements this.
