Nuno Tavares is so far the only Arsenal men’s signing in the bag but Albert Sambi Lokonga should complete in the coming week before the team head to the States on Wednesday and Ben White’s deal only seems to be held up by the fact he’s on his post-Euros holiday.

Aaron Ramsdale is back, with Arsenal in desperate need for a keeper, although many fans would prefer they didn’t buy a desperate keeper.

Norwich’s Max Aarons is wanted to replace Hector Bellerin who has reportedly agreed a five-year deal with Inter Milan even though the clubs can’t yet agree on anything.

Wolves’ Ruben Neves is wanted to replace Granit Xhaka who has also agreed an Italian deal, this time with Roma, who are doing their best not to pay more than €15m for the Swiss midfielder.

Finally, Martin Odegaard is said to be still on the list because, despite initial assurances at Real Madrid, it seems his future is not quite as set there as it looked earlier in the summer. Mikel Arteta and Edu are said to be ‘ready to pounce’ should he be put on the market.
