According to Gazetta dello Sport, Hector Bellerin would earn €3.5m-a-year, plus bonuses, over the course of the five years on the contract Inter Milan have offered him. The player has already informed Arsenal of his desire to join Inter, something that has been reported by multiple Italian outlets over recent days.

Arsenal and Inter Milan, however, cannot find an agreement that works for both sides. Arsenal want to sell Bellerin this summer and they are asking €20m for him, Inter just want a loan with an option to buy.

One of the problems for Arsenal is that, next summer, Bellerin only has one year left on his Arsenal contract and therefore loses a lot of his value. Arsenal need a commitment this summer.

Once again, the Italians are hoping that the player’s insistence on going to their club will drive his price down. Arsenal and Roma are currently in a stalemate over Granit Xhaka due to the same thing.

Inter Milan have another player in mind, should it not work out with Bellerin – PSV’s Denzel Dumfries. Gazetta write, however, that “unlike Bellerin, there is no possibility that PSV will change its mind on the formula, accepting a loan instead of the 20 million request.”

In other words, they expect Arsenal to be more likely to bend.

PSV’s technical director, John de Jong, however, said that Dumfries could leave this summer. “We are kept informed by Mino Raiola, their agent (both Dumfries and former Arsenal youngster, Donyell Malen),” he said. They know what we want and have given these players the space to talk to interested clubs.

“If they find an agreement, the club in question will report to us. But at the moment we have not received any concrete offers yet. Of course, this can all change very quickly. If there is no agreement, Donyell and Denzel will join us on July 18th. But the possibility of both of them leaving is obviously very high.”
