As the new rules aimed at reducing time-wasting in football matches extend game times, broadcasters express concern and enter into talks with football authorities. However, players, clubs, managers, and fans seem to have been left out of the conversation.

First live match for BBC since Tottenham v Arsenal in 1988

When the Premier League returns later this month, the BBC will screen a top-flight English football match live for the first time since showing Arsenal's 2-1 win at Tottenham in 1988.
