Benjamin Sesko’s agent has been pictured at another Arsenal game, this time attending their clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
For the second time in a few weeks, Benjamin Sesko’s agent Elvis Basanovic has posted a picture of himself attending an Arsenal game.
Basanovic shared a photo as he prepared to watch Arsenal facing Manchester United on Sunday, having previously done the same at the Emirates Stadium for Arsenal’s match against Chelsea.
It’s worth mentioning that Sesko has also been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, and the agent attended Chelsea’s match against Manchester United on April 4th and United’s match against Liverpool on March 17th.
So his latest visit to Old Trafford may have been a case of killing two birds with one stone.
Last month, Charles Watts reported in his Daily Briefing that Benjamin Sesko was a more realistic potential signing than Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa, due to the RB Leipzig striker’s release clause.
Sky Sports claim Sesko has a €50m (£43m) release clause in his contract, included in his deal as a compromise last summer, to get his move from RB Salzburg over the line.
Arsenal have been linked with Sesko since November, when the Mirror reported that the Gunners had sent scouts to watch him playing in the Bundesliga ahead of a potential move.
The Athletic then reported that Sesko was among the names on Arsenal’s striker shortlist for 2024.
Sesko has 17 goals and two assists in 41 games (21 starts) this season, averaging a goal or assist every 103 minutes.
That’s an impressive record for a 20-year-old striker in a top-five European league, and the player’s age fits nicely with a recent claim from David Ornstein that Arsenal might be looking for a long-term signing up front in the wake of Kai Havertz’s good form.
