Everton have submitted a loan offer to Arsenal for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, hoping to sign him with an option to buy before the transfer deadline.

Arsenal are happy to let Ainsley Maitland-Niles leave this summer and Everton are hoping they can land the 23-year-old on loan.

Thierry Small has opted to leave Everton to join Southampton rather than Arsenal or any of the other sides interested in him.
