Arsenal have just a few days left to sort out their squad and, while we have seen Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale all arrive for the first team, it seemed highly unlikely any more senior players would be joining.

It also looks like a right back could be arriving in Takehiro Tomiyasu, however.

Maitland-Niles scores winner after serious Lacazette injury drama

Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette suffers serious injury in Brest win. Maitland-Niles scores decisive penalty after dramatic incident.

That doesn’t mean there won’t be a lot happening over the next few days. Arsenal still need to secure a new or temporary home for Sead Kolasinac (Fenerbahce, maybe) and Eddie Nketiah (Crystal Palace fell through).

Some of those are players that could probably help Arsenal over the course of the upcoming season (like others already out on loan), but Arteta and Edu have deemed them surplus to requirements. Ainsley Maitland-Niles, however, seems to be staying.

In addition, there were meant to be loan deals for a number of youngsters including Ryan Alebiosu, and Tim Akinola and possibly some others, but the Alebiosu deal with Sunderland fell through.

So far, across all teams at the club, Arsenal have completed 45 deals.
