ESPN Brasil report that the final details of Willian’s contract termination with Arsenal were agreed on Sunday, and they’re expecting an announcement on Monday. After that, Willian will be announced as a new Corinthians player.

Arsenal were reportedly waiting until Sunday for any offers from a European club, but without any coming in, Willian’s agreed his contract termination. He’ll sign a deal to 2023 with his new club.

UOL also report that Willian has reached an agreement with Arsenal, which he’ll sign on Monday. He’ll then leave for Sao Paulo for a medical and to complete his signing with Corinthians.

Another Brazilian outlet, Lance, confirm the news and add that Willian’s live presentation should take place on Wednesday.

According to various English journalists and outlets, Willian’s termination agreement with Arsenal essentially amounts to Willian tearing up his contract. Reports claim Willian will save Arsenal £20m by giving up his wages to terminate his deal.

The winger will then sign for Corinthians on around 30% of what he was on with Arsenal. He wants to avoid ugly discussions over a pay-off. Though these reports have not been confirmed from Arsenal’s end, yet.
