Football.London report that as well as Miguel Azeez, the Arsenal u23s are expected to loan out Tim Akinola and Ryan Alebiosu in the final week of the transfer window.

Akinola is ‘expected to depart’, though there’s no suggestion of where he might end up. Meanwhile, Alebiosu has been linked with Sunderland, and talks over a loan move to the League One club are reportedly gathering pace.

Both players got plenty of game time with the Arsenal u23s last season. Of the 24 Premier League 2 games available to them, Alebiosu featured in 18 and Akinola in 22, making them two of the busiest players in the entire squad. They were also both regulars in the EFL Trophy.

As a result, there isn’t a huge amount to gain by sticking around this season. They aren’t on the verge of first-team minutes yet, and they already have plenty of youth team experience, so a senior loan is the logical next step. They just need to get it across the line in time now.
