It can be hard to keep up with everything that’s going on so here is a round up of the main Arsenal news and talking points from the last seven days.

→ Bukayo Saka scored his first England goal, and was named Man of the Match, but then picked up what is described as a minor hip injury which ruled him out of England’s final Euro 2020 preparation game.

Arsenal will face Napoli in a pre-season friendly and they will also take part in a mini-tournament in Florida along with Everton, Inter Milan and Millonarios from Colombia.

→ William Saliba is on the shortlist for Ligue 1’s fan Team of the Season award, with the voting currently underway.

→ Calum Chambers has become the latest player to invest in UK-based sports GPS tracking system STATSports.

→ Arsenal’s sleeve deal with Visit Rwanda – has it been silently renewed?

→ Gabriel Magalhaes is hoping that Arsenal will agree to release him for the Olympic Games this summer, if he earns a place in the Brazil squad for the event.

→ Arsenal have confirmed that a number of first teamers for the men’s team, one from the women’s and four from the u18 and u23 squads have been released at the end of their contracts with the club.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang played in an amateur match ahead of a neighbourhood tournament as he enjoys his summer holiday amid reports that Arsenal are seeking offers for their captain.

→ Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for Ajax’s keeper, Andre Onana, as questions continue to be asked about Bernd Leno’s future, despite the German stating he’s happy at Arsenal.

→ Arsenal are apparently ‘intensely’ interested in Anderlecht’s young captain, Albert Sambi Lokonga.

→ Manor Solomon remains keen on a Premier League move and Pini Zahavi is apparently in contact with Arsenal’s Edu on the winger’s behalf.

→ Arsenal are reportedly in talks with former AS Monaco and Lille sporting director, Luis Campos, following his departure from Lille in December.

→ Arsenal have contract offers on the table for Kido Taylor-Hart and Arthur Okonkwo, but they’re yet to sign them with less than a month remaining on their current deals.

→ Atletico Madrid could move for Hector Bellerin if Kieran Trippier leaves the club this summer, according to reports in Spain. Reports that Manchester United have a significant interest in Trippier could spark a chain of transfers including Bellerin’s departure from Arsenal.

Emi Buendia has completed his medical ahead of a move to Aston Villa in a deal that is expected to be announced ‘imminently. Arsenal reportedly bid £30m for him and offered the player less than Villa who put £33m on the table.

→ Newcastle United may have to pay close to £30m to land Joe Willock this summer, despite the player’s openness to a return. Newcastle are also said to be interested in taking William Saliba on loan.

→ Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanders this summer, according to a report. His agent is Jorges Mendes.

Nicklas Bendtner and Johan Djourou both announced their retirement from playing football at the ages of 33 and 34 respectively. Bendtner is hoping to move into coaching but it’s not clear what Djourou is planning to do.

→ Lukas Podolski was released by Antalyaspor and he didn’t appreciate how they went about informing him.

→ Emi Martinez made his debut for Argentina but was the lowest rated player from either side.
