Arsenal put four past Brighton on Sunday while Chelsea and City also won to keep it tight at the top of the table.
Arsenal scored four thanks to Danielle van de Donk, Jill Roord, Jordn Nobbs and Beth Mead with Nobb’s goal the pick of the game.
In other games this weekend, Chelsea won 6-1 at home to Bristol and Manchester City won 3-1 at home to Everton.
The league table now looks like this:
- Liverpool P Manchester United
- Brighton 0 Arsenal 4
- Chelsea 6 Bristol City 1
- Reading 1 Birmingham 0
- Tottenham 2 West Ham 1
In other news, Manchester City have still not started looking for a replacement for Nick Cushing who will leave to become assistant manager at New York City FC after City’s game against Arsenal.
Liverpool’s game against Manchester United was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Prenton Park following heavy overnight rain. Prenton Park has already been criticised by Emma Hayes, Chelsea manager, something that forced the Daily Mail’s Gammon-on-chief to lose his s**t once again over the women’s game.
Finally, Bristol City’s manager, Tanya Oxtoby, is “very frustrated” that the club haven’t done any business in the winter windowyet. “Hopefully there will be lots of movement now,’ she said ‘We know the areas we need to strengthen, so fingers crossed. It’s well overdue,” she said.
