The long and arduous 2017 Summer transfer window finally closed last night.
Few things in life are as stressful and perplexing as an Arsenal transfer window.
It all started off so well, with Sead Kolasinac arriving for free and Alexandre Lacazettle coming for £52m. Two new players in before pre-season even started with promise of more to come. Arsenal were finally changing for the best.
Or not.
Weeks of inactivity passed before a mad and shambolic end which saw plenty of fringe players leave but no first team players arrive.
Naturally, the Arsenal fans took this well.

Debate will continue if this was the worst transfer window in recent memory. That one year we only signed Petr Cech is a strong candidate, but the amount of business that didn’t get done this year in relation to the state of the squad puts it right up there.
Still, there were some who got some joy out of it, genuine or otherwise.
Honestly? It's been the most arsenalesque of days. I'm loving it. Imagine supporting a team who get biz done early or at all? Haha suckas!!

Better than the one where we only signed Cech. And at least we haven't bought loads of players to make a loss on. Still far from good though

Arsenal will now put transfer madness behind them for another four months. Instead, we’ll just have to deal with regular season madness. It can’t be any worse, right?
