With the Spanish window still open, Barcelona have reportedly made a £55m offer for Mesut Ozil.
Given that Arsenal would be unable to replace him with the English window shut, should Arsenal accept the bid for the German, it is likely that fans would burn down the Emirates.

Like Alexis, Ozil is out of contract next summer. However, unlike the Chilean, he has not been a total dick about it and has often hinted strongly that he will sign a new deal.
That was before this season, however, and it remains to be seen if the absolute state of Arsenal over the last few months has changed his mind on where his future lies.
To be honest, you probably couldn’t blame Ozil for wanting to leave given how badly he has been treated by the media in this country.
No matter what happens, he is always to blame.
Ozil blindness, which is a real condition that afflicts people paid to write about football for national websites and papers, and pure laziness sees Ozil as the default reason Arsenal lose any game.
He isn’t.
