According to reports emerging from the Italian media, Juventus are ready to snap up Wojciech Szczesny for £13.8m.

- Juventus willing to pay Arsenal £3.8m more than Napoli
- Both Serie A clubs seeking replacements for ageing goalkeepers
That’s right, apparently Napoli aren’t the only Serie A club interested in signing Woj from Arsenals. In fact, Juventus are reportedly ready to offer €16m – £13.8m – for the goalkeeper, who Napoli weren’t too keen on paying £10m for.
The Old Lady are allegedly willing to pay the 27-year-old, who’s been on loan at Roma for two seasons, £3.47m-a-year in wages, which is £66,730-a-week.
Like Pepe Reina at Napoli, Juve’s Gianluigi ‘Gigi’ Buffon isn’t getting any younger and it seems that the Champions League finalists could be looking at Woj to replace him.
When you listen to what Woj has been saying recently, however, he seems to genuinely want to return to north London and has stressed that it’s down to Arsenal to make a decision over his future.
“I think I can be better now than I thought I could be when I was back at Arsenal,” the Poland international said recently.
“I have grown more than I would have hoped for. Now I think with the right work, the right attitude, I can go a long way. I always want to be the best but now I feel a bit closer to it.
“When I have my head on the 2017-18 season, then we make a decision – first Arsenal has to and then I have to.
“I want to make sure I take my time, clear my head of this season, and then focus on doing the right thing. What that is time will show.“
This insinuates that if the Gunners are willing to make him number one over Petr Cech, he could stay, if not, he could go.
This makes me wonder why all these links with other teams have suddenly popped up all at once…
