According to the Italian media, Wojciech Szczesny is finally set for his Roma medical on Thursday.

The goalkeeper, who has been heavily linked with a second season-long loan spell with the Serie A club, finally looks set to have his medical this week. According to Di Marzio, the Poland international will travel to Italy on Wednesday, with the final tests thought to be carried out by Thursday and an announcement not long after.

The Woj-to-Roma transfer saga has been one of the more boring rumours this summer considering we all knew it was going to happen but the media preferred to go with the ‘on again/off again’ narrative. At one point, we were rumoured to only be willing to sell the 26-year-old on a permanent deal if Roma weren’t willing to pay his wages, while just recently Everton were said to be interested.

However, fortunately, the story seems to have almost met its conclusion and Woj should be completing his loan move to Roma very soon. Providing he passes his medical, of course.
