Arsenal legend Lauren claims that strangling Phil Neville was worth the £40,000 fine he incurred back in 2003.
Despite reportedly being ‘furious’ at the time the fine was handed out after a particularly feisty affair between Arsenal and Manchester United at Old Trafford, which also saw Patrick Vieira, Martin Keown and Ashley Cole all punished for their behaviour on the pitch, Lauren now insists that the fine was worth it!

To give context, @Lauren12arsenal did say it was nothing against Phil Neville, but because he would always defend his teammates.#Invincible

To be fair, if anyone strangled one of our players nowadays, we’d be up in arms, although most Gooners will be thrilled with the idea that a former player still relishes the idea of throttling his enemies.
