Arsenal have positioned themselves as prominent contenders in the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško, whose value has remarkably increased from €20m to approximately €45-50m.

The 20-year-old Slovenian, who joined the Bundesliga team in July 2023, has impressed many with his performance, scoring six goals in 18 matches this season.

Calciomercato reports that Arsenal are showing significant interest in Šeško and have commenced discussions with his representatives.

Šeško, who has made a notable impact both at the club and international levels, boasts an impressive record of 10 goals in 25 appearances for Slovenia.

His current market value, as of 18 October 2023, stands at €30m, marking his highest valuation to date.

Despite being contracted with RB Leipzig until June 2028, Šeško’s growing reputation has attracted attention from several top clubs, including Serie A’s AC Milan.

Stefano Pioli‘s team sees Šeško as a valuable player, but they acknowledge the intense competition, particularly from Arsenal.

Šeško’s agent disclosed that prior negotiations had occurred with AC Milan, though the potential move to San Siro is complicated by various factors, including Arsenal‘s strong interest.

At a young age, Šeško has already achieved considerable success, including being the top scorer in the 21/22 season, Austrian Player of the Season in 2023, winning the German Super Cup, and securing three Austrian championships and an Austrian cup victory.

Arsenal‘s longstanding interest and their close ties with Šeško’s representatives could give them an advantage in any forthcoming negotiations.
