As the January transfer window looms, Arsenal are reportedly considering significant changes to their midfield.

This includes the potential departure of Thomas Partey to Juventus and the Gunners targeting Martin Zubimendi and Douglas Luiz to strengthen their squad.

As Arsenal approach the January transfer window, they are reportedly contemplating notable alterations in their midfield, with Juventus expressing interest in Thomas Partey.

This comes amidst Arsenal‘s pursuit of key players to strengthen their squad.

Juventus, aiming to strengthen their midfield, have set their sights on Partey, according to Sky Italia and journalist Gianluca di Marzio.

They believe a deal could be struck on favourable terms. This interest is corroborated by Il Bianconero, with Juventus’ executives, including Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna, closely monitoring Partey.

However, the feasibility of such a transfer is complicated by Partey’s involvement in the African Cup of Nations and Arsenal‘s valuation of the player.

Concurrently, Arsenal are actively seeking to enhance their midfield.

They are considering a significant £52 million offer for Real Sociedad‘s Martin Zubimendi, whose contract includes a £52 million release clause. Zubimendi has impressed in his debut Champions League campaign, making him an attractive target for the Gunners.

Additionally, Arsenal‘s interest in Aston Villa‘s Brazilian midfielder, Douglas Luiz, has been reignited. The 25-year-old’s current form, with five goals and two assists in 13 Premier League games this season, has strengthened Arsenal‘s pursuit.

Luiz, who has been on Arsenal‘s radar for some time, has also drawn attention from Tottenham and Chelsea.

The potential move of Partey to Juventus could provide the necessary funds for Arsenal‘s new acquisitions.

Partey’s time at Arsenal has been hindered by injury issues, including a recent thigh injury that will keep him sidelined for the remainder of the calendar year.

His persistent injuries have led Arsenal to consider alternatives to strengthen their midfield after trying to sell him in the summer, without success.
