Osei-Tutu returned to the starting lineup for Bochum this week, with interim head coach Heiko Butscher taking charge after Robin Dutt parted ways with the club.

We spoke to the people behind Bochum’s official English Twitter account to get their thoughts on the right-back’s performance:

“Jordi completed his first full league game on Monday night after forcing his way back into the side after nearly a month of appearances off the bench.

“Despite a 2-1 loss to VfB Stuttgart, Jordi was bright throughout, with new interim coach Heiko Butscher deploying the 20-year-old at right-wing, clearly a new tactic that may continue particularly with the purchase of right-back Cristian Gamboa.

“His pace and verve caused constant problems for the Stuttgart backline, and he also showed strength in shrugging off opponents before playing in Silvére Ganvoula on a number of occasions.

“His one significant chance in the game came in a one on one situation, where despite his best efforts, ‘keeper Kobel got down well to save low to his right after a penetrating run from the young Arsenal loanee.

“He looks to be in a good position to retain his position on the wing next week.”
