American actress Anne Hathaway is a massive Arsenal supporter, according to The Idea of You co-star Nicholas Galitzine.

Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine are set to star in romantic comedy The Idea of You, premiering later this month, and during a recent press event Galitzine uncovered a revelation about his co-star.

“You know, a really fun fact: Anne Hathaway is a massive Arsenal supporter as well,” Galitzine revealed to Now TV.

“I’m in a group chat with her family, who are all Arsenal supporters. [They’re] obssessed.”

Galitzine has also publicly revealed his support for Arsenal on many occasions, which would explain why he’s now in the group chat as well.

Hathaway made her acting breakthrough in TV series Get Real, and she’s gone on to star in some of the world’s biggest blockbusters.

From Interstellar to Les Miserables, The Dark Knight Rises, Rio, and The Devil Wears Prada, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t seen a movie the 41-year-old has appeared in.

Yet despite an incredible career in the spotlight spanning the last 25 years, Hathaway’s affection for Arsenal has never previously been unearthed. We’ll have to wait for the star herself to confirm Galitzine’s claim.

But it would be a strange thing for her 29-year-old co-star to lie about unprovoked, so for now, it’s safe to assume it’s probably true.

Hathaway joins a number of celebrities to be linked with Arsenal fandom this season, with Natalie Portman and Isla Fisher attending a match earlier this season, and Christina Milian cheering the team on last month.
