Arsenal fans packed out the Emirates Stadium for Saturday night’s match against Newcastle United, with the team determined to get revenge for their earlier defeat at St. James’ Park.

But one unexpected guest supporter on the night was American singer and actress Christina Milian, who shared clips from the stand on her Instagram story.

“Come on Arsenal, get me a goal,” Milian could be heard saying in one clip, before chanting “Arsenal! Arsenal!”

Milian is a 42-year-old New Jersey-born celebrity, famous for her music in the early 2000s and her acting performances in a number of films and TV shows over almost 30 years.

Despite not having released an album since 2006, Milian still brings in well over a million Spotify listeners per month, and people of a certain age will know her voice from the Kim Possible theme tune.

Milian had a lead role in 2003 film Love Don’t Cost a Thing, and more recently, she starred in 22 episodes of the American sitcom Grandfathered and 2019 Netflix film Falling Inn Love.

Milian took some credit for the eventual 4-1 result on Saturday, claiming she’s a good luck charm for Arsenal.

“Arsenal is having a great game, a really, really great game today,” the star said in another clip. “And I think… I think it’s because I’m here.

“What can I say? I am a good luck charm.”
