AC Milan are indeed interested in Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, but the Gunners don’t want to loan the player in January.

Following reports in recent days, Polish outlet Meczyki have confirmed AC Milan’s interest in Jakub Kiwior, writing that Milan scout Donato Lomonte was watching the player in action over the international break.

But the same outlet claim that Arsenal don’t see any sense in loaning Kiwior in January, and Mikel Arteta isn’t interested in letting the defender go.

Meczyki were the outlet to break the news of Kiwior’s move to Arsenal in the first place, so it’s worth putting some stock in their updates.

As well as Milan, AS Roma have also made an attempt to sign Kiwior, again proposing a loan deal. But Arsenal are not open to any kind of negotiation, at least for now.

The centre-back was linked with a move to Sevilla earlier this month, with reports claiming the Spanish club attempted to loan him over the summer.

But Mikel Arteta refused to allow the transfer to go through, so Kiwior remained in north London for the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

Kiwior has made eight appearances for Arsenal so far this season, consisting of four starts and four late substitute showings.

The Poland international has generally impressed for his club in those cameos, and he’s also a regular for his country, playing the full 90 in every Poland international in 2023 – 10 matches.

Arsenal certainly seem unlikely to let Kiwior leave permanently just a year after signing him.
