Fabrizio Romano reports that AC Milan are confident of finalising a deal to sign Yunus Musah in the coming days, with negotiations continuing between Milan and Valencia.

The transfer could reportedly soon be sealed, with Musah’s personal terms already agreed.

Claudio Raimondi reports to SportMediaset (via MilanNews) that Milan submitted a bid of €18m for the former Arsenal academy youngster, though Valencia are taking their time on a decision.

Valencia are hoping for a couple of million in bonuses to hit the €20m mark in total.

Raimondi confirms that the negotiation could close within 48 hours, allowing the player to go on Milan’s American tour.

Earlier in the window, Relevo had reported that Valencia were willing to sell Musah this summer, despite having previously closed the door to a departure.

Valencia don’t feel the 20-year-old has played to the level they expected of him in 2023 so far, and they’re particularly concerned about how he performs when things aren’t going well for the team.

With Valencia playing badly and a strong chance that they won’t significantly improve next season, the club are concerned that Musah’s value will only continue to drop.

As a result, they put a price tag of €25m on him. Whilst it doesn’t look like they’ll get quite that much, a €20m transfer wouldn’t be too far off.

Fabrizio Romano had reported in May that Arsenal and Chelsea had both been following Musah since January, with Inter Milan also in the mix.

There was no suggestion of a formal move from any of the three clubs, and nothing seems to have changed on that front.

Back in December, following Musah’s performances at the World Cup, David Ornstein reported for The Athletic that a number of Premier League clubs were exploring the signing.

The player was believed to be keen on a new challenge after spending a few years in Spain.

It’s AC Milan who look to be offering him that opportunity now.
