Wilfried Zaha is out of contract this summer and, despite being 30 now, he is being linked with a move to Arsenal again.

Wilfried Zaha is set to leave Crystal Palace on a free transfer at the end of the season, and Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly [1] [2] among the clubs monitoring his situation.

Zaha has rejected multiple offers from Palace and is expected to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June this summer.

The Ivory Coast international has been a long-term target for the ‘Big Six’ Premier League sides, and his availability on a free transfer may appeal to Arsenal and Chelsea who are in the market for forwards, although his age profile does not really suit the Gunners at this point.

Back in October, it was reported that Zaha was set to shun contract talks with Crystal Palace and wait for a big move when his contract expires, with Arsenal and Tottenham, rather than Chelsea, being linked to the player.

However, despite previous links with Arsenal, recent rumours have died down due to the club having a specific profile of player that they look to sign and Zaha not fitting the bill.

Since becoming Arsenal manager, Arteta has only used a handful of players over 30 and most of those have now left the club (David Luiz, Willian, Mesut Ozil, Sokratis, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Cedric).

The club did bring in Jorginho, 31, but an 18-month contract similar to the one agreed by the former Chelsea man is unlikely to appeal to Zaha.

Zaha has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most capable forwards outside the ‘big six’, scoring 67 goals in just under 300 appearances for Palace.

This season, Zaha has scored six Premier League goals, with two assists, in 20 games.

Zaha was born on November 10, 1992, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, but moved to London, England, as a child.

He began his football career at Crystal Palace’s academy before making his first-team debut in 2010. He quickly established himself as one of the club’s standout players, helping them earn promotion to the Premier League in 2013.

In 2013, Zaha was signed by Manchester United, but he struggled to break into the first team and was sent on loan to Cardiff City and then back to Crystal Palace.

In 2015, he returned to Palace permanently, where he has remained ever since.
