Sky Sports are reporting that Arsenal want to bring Chelsea’s Jorginho to the club before the transfer window closes on Monday night.

With Arsenal’s chase for Houssem Aouar coming to an end, the race is on for Mikel Arteta and his team to find an alternative.

Jorginho’s name surfaced last week and the rumour made as much sense then as it does now.

Even if Jorginho did want to move to Arsenal why would Chelsea sell him to us? He’s made three appearances this season, scoring three goals including two penalties this weekend and he still has three years left on his current deal that he only signed in 2018 when Chelsea paid over £50m for him.

There is of course the Brazilian connection at Arsenal but that still doesn’t seem like it would be enough to force any deal through unless Jorginho kicks up a big fuss which certainly doesn’t seem to be he looks liek doing.
