El Desmarque report that Arsenal are currently in negotiations with Real Madrid over the possibility of another loan for Dani Ceballos next season.

The Gunners aren’t keen to make a major financial investment in the player this summer. They’re reportedly pushing for a loan rather than a permanent transfer and requesting they split his salary with Real. El Desmarque claim Florentino Perez is unlikely to accept this formula.

As we covered previously, it appears Real Madrid are trying to raise larger bids by recalling Ceballos for pre-season training. Despite a rift between the player and head coach Zinedine Zidane, the club are posturing as if they’re willing to give him a shot in the side.

But Ceballos is keen on a return to the Premier League and Arsenal. He sees it as a good way to continue to get minutes and push for the Spanish European Championship squad.

Real Betis are also in the mix, with Ceballos open to a return to his former club. The obvious advantage of this move being a stay in Spain closer to those making the national team decisions.

This one could drag on for a while longer if Arsenal don’t significantly up their offer, which seems unlikely.
