Photos of the rumoured new Arsenal Adidas 2020/21 away kit leaked on Thursday, and the shirt is certainly dividing opinion.
Footy Headlines leaked pictures of next season’s Arsenal away shirt on Thursday. They wrote that they ‘strongly expect’ it to look like this, which clearly isn’t a 100% confirmation, but the outlet is normally reliable when it comes to leaks.
As you can see above, the shirt is white with black for the logos, three stripes and the Emirates sponsorship. Just like the home shirt, the sponsored wording is now “Emirates Fly Better” rather than “Fly Emirates”.
Then there’s the pattern, which is maroon and apparently meant to be marble. Of course, given the colouring, many are pointing out it looks more like blood.
We know from previous leaks that the new kit should have maroon shorts and ‘cloud-white’ socks.
As with all kit leaks, there’s a big divide in opinion on the new shirt, but perhaps even more so in this case. I’ve had Arsenal fans in my replies telling me everything from ‘that’s peng‘ to vomiting emojis or complaining that the fan designs were better.
It’s certainly a bit out-there, but then so are a lot of the designs that wind up becoming fan-favourites. Our eventual opinions will probably depend on how well Arsenal play wearing it.
