Henrikh Mkhitaryan has taken some time away from training with his national side to inspire his country’s youngsters.

The Armenian met up with the Armenia u19 side ahead of their game against Russia on 22 March.

Unfortunately, the u19s lost their game 2-1 with Ghazar Dermenjyan scoring for the Armenians.

Armenia’s senior team play Bosnia & Herzegovina on Saturday evening before facing Finland on 26 March.

Mkhitaryan is the subject of interest from Russia ahead of the summer with one club’s president issuing a recruitment call to the player.
