Arsenal may have only won a single point against Chelsea but they deserved all three… if you forget how we defended.
Here’s how they all rated individually:
Forwards
Alexis Sanchez – 8
A decent match from the forward. He had four shots and linked up well with Ozil, as always. He was, however, dispossessed four times – the same amount as Hazard – more than anyone else on the pitch.
Interestingly, he only completed one dribble, which is unlike him, and 71% of his passes.
Mesut Ozil – 9
Another stunning performance from the playmaker, who was playing even deeper than usual.
He was everywhere at once and really connected everyone. He was a joy to watch.
If the Chelsea penalty hadn’t taken the wind out of everyone’s sails, perhaps he would have had even more of a positive impact on the game.
He made three key passes, all of which were in the first half.
Alexandre Lacazette – 7
It’s hard to see where the striker is supposed to be fitting into this current team. His movement, when he was included in play, was brilliant but overall he had a quiet game.
He should have buried at least two of his three shots.
