Arsenal conspired to beat themselves 3-1 at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon in the days late kick-off.

Firing off 33 shots (to United’s 8), Arsenal certainly didn’t hold back or look scared against United. Rather, it was their inbuilt ability to shoot themselves in the foot and then follow that up with a hatchet to the head that was their undoing.

So how did the players do? For a 3-1 defeat to a Jose Mourinho Manchester United, surprisingly well…

Mesut Ozil 8

We wanted him to shine like he had against Huddersfield or Spurs, instead he retreated into himself a little. Was still very impressive with three shots and four key passes, but his passing was just a little below-par.

Alexis Sanchez 1

Gave the ball away 17 times in each half. If you aren’t any good at maths, that means he gave it away THIRTY FOUR TIMES in 90 minutes. He’s getting a 1 because I’m not totally heartless. The rest of the DC team said give him a 0.

Alexandre Lacazette 8.5

Like an Xmas miracle, he was declared fit despite being ruled out around 24 hours earlier. He’s worth every penny we paid for him.
