Sergio Aguero is reportedly pushing for a move to Arsenal from Manchester City in January.

Aguero is said to be pushing for a move to Arsenal in January if his situation at Manchester City doesn’t improve, claims the Times.

The striker is said to be unsettled as Pep Guardiola continues to play 20-year-old Gabriel Jesus.

With Alexis Sanchez being strongly linked with a move to the Etihad before the transfer window shuts on Thursday night, Aguero could find himself slip down the pecking order.

Last season, Aguero made 45 appearances across all competitions and scored 33 goals, while Gabriel Jesus made 10 in the Premier League, scoring seven, over half of which came upon his return from a metatarsal fracture.

This season, the Brazilian has played 205 minutes compared to Aguero’s 197, and it seems that the 29-year-old is unhappy with no longer being the team’s top dog.

The former Atletico Madrid goalscorer has just two years left on his current deal with City and if Gabriel Jesus continues to get game time, it’s debatable whether he’ll be offered an extension.

The Argentina international has consistently been one of the best players in the Premier League and Arsenal fans would be over the moon to get him. However, I won’t believe it until I see it.
