Arsenal have made an offer for Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez and may have a lot of competition for his signature.

Diario Gol is reporting that Arsenal have joined Roma, Juventus and Liverpool in making an offer to Madrid for the 26-year-old. The offer from Roma is described as the ‘most important’ of the bunch, but nothing is done yet.

Vazquez made an impressive 50 appearances last season, scoring four goals and providing 14 assists. The new season is underway and Vazquez has so far made five appearances.

As a player who was so involved in Real Madrid’s team as they won the Champions League, La Liga, the Supercopa de España and the UEFA Super Cup, the 26-year-old would be a worthwhile investment for many teams.

For Arsenal, this isn’t necessarily the case, however. The Gunners have a lot of attacking options, albeit a potential gap in the team if Alexis Sanchez leaves, so it’s hard to see the Londoners going in hard for Vazquez.

There could still be something to this rumour if Lucas Perez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain join Alexis through the exit door, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens with this potential deal, with AS Roma, Juventus and Liverpool also in the running.
