Naturally, there is a lot of excitement and hysteria around the deal, and as such it’s easy to fall for fictitious claims on social media. One such claim was made about photographers gathering at London Colney and waiting for Lacazette’s arrival. However, you may wish this read this before you get too carried away.

While we await for official confirmation of the deal, a number of stories detailing the background behind the deal have emerged. Wenger reportedly met with Lacazette in Paris to convince him to join Arsenal. Meanwhile, a number of clubs apparently also wanted him, including Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and Everton. Liverpool have gone the extra mile to claim that they don’t need him.
Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid might not be too upset about losing out on Lacazette, as it could mean they’ll be able to get Diego Costa instead.
Of course, it’s agonising waiting for official confirmation, so you can amuse yourself with this list of tweets from impatient Arsenal fans while you wait.
