Olympics gold medalist, Mo Farah, has spoken about his relationship with Arsenal in a recent interview with The Sunday Times Magazine and even admitted he’d love to work with our fitness coach one day.
The long distance runner revealed that he’s been an Arsenal fan since he came to Britain from Somalia at the age of eight. He liked the way we played and instantly formed an attachment.
“I started supporting them when I first came to Britain as a kid,” he said.
“I liked the way they played. They also had a lot of players from African backgrounds. One day, I’d love to be able to work for them, maybe as a fitness coach.
“I’m a big believer in what the body’s capable of with proper training.”
To be honest, Mo could probably teach our fitness team a thing or two, the man’s a machine, whereas Arsenal are constantly battling injuries. Maybe he could give us some tips on how to fend off the muscular problems?
Joking aside, Mo’s support of the club has been unwavering and it’s always nice to hear him being so proud of the club he loves.
I’m sure the players wouldn’t object to having another man at London Colney, especially if he’s an Olympic gold medalist.
