Another day, another load of rumours, but this time it seems like we might have something concrete to report.

Back in January, Kelechi Nwakali claimed he had signed for Arsenal and this story rumbled on until March when he was pictured at the club. A little blip in May saw the transfer under threat but it was announced on Wednesday that Arsenal were getting ready to confirm his arrival at the club.

In terms of gossip, Arsenal are said to have bid £27.5m for Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy is still mulling things over (despite Granit Xhaka highlighting how distracting that can be) and we’re also said to be close to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, which would be an absolutely massive transfer for a steal of around £25m.

Laurent Koscielny was speaking about Vardy and new players coming in, Bellerin got his third cap for Spain as they lost to Georgia which was embarrassing and Xhaka spoke about being seduced by Arsene, playing his brother at the Euros and the aforementioned Vardy advice.

And that was about it.

It was a quiet day, which after the nonsense of the past few days, is no bad thing.

If anything happens today, we’ll have it up on site as soon as possible. Never miss an update by following us on Twitter.
