Arsene Wenger admitted at his press conference on Friday morning that the club were close to sealing a deal to bring Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze to the club and thanks to Instagram we now have a photo of the Arsenal manager with both players.

Nwakali, 17, and Chukwueze, 16, arrived on Friday from Nigeria with the Arsenal legal team who had been in the country tying up the deal, as well as Nwakali’s brother, their agent and representatives from Nwakali’s current club, Diamond Academy.

Seen in the photo below, the players were also joined by Kanu, the former Arsenal man whom Nwakali as admitted is a hero of his (he wants Kanu’s no. 25 Arsenal shirt).

Nwkalali was voted the Most Valuable Player at the u17 World Cup in Chile after captaining his side to glory in the tournament and was the subject to interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich who both wanted to land his signature.

He opted for Arsenal.

Welcome to the club, boys!
