The club has signed Charlotte Devlin, one of the youngsters that came through the age group and will hopefully get chances with the first team this season and the next one.

This is a good sign for the talented youngsters from the u17s and the development team, who have been winning trophies for many seasons, to see one of them rewarded with a professional contract.

Charlie Devlin is an attacking midfielder that can play centrally or on both wings. A creative player, she is very good at taking on defenders in one v one situations. She is strong technically with the ball at her feet as well, something that is required from all the attacking players at Arsenal Ladies.

She will certainly have to improve certain points of her game, as seen in the recent FA WSL League Cup final, when she was sent off late in the game with a straight red card alongside one of the opposition player from Sheffield FC Ladies.

Charlie has already played a first team game last season starting a game in the Conti Cup game against London Bees and it will be hopefully the first of many.
