Even though Mathieu Flamini has never lost an Arsenal game at home (that’s right…), it appears we are finally willing to part ways with the midfielder.

The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer and it’s looking unlikely that we’ll extend it.

Flamini was previously linked with a move away to Turkey last season but for whatever reason, we kept him. Fortunately, the midfielder has come in handy after Coquelin picked up a serious knee injury recently and Mikel Arteta, our fallen soldier, managed to hurt himself in the same game.

To be fair, Flamini hasn’t been terrible since having to step up. He spends some of his time in the right position, hasn’t threatened to blind anyone (that I know of) and, against Man City, even tried to calm people down.

Saying this, I do think it’s time for Flamini to go.

Although someone keep an eye on Ozil…
