Following Arsenal’s frustrating 2-1 loss to West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday, Arsene Wenger admitted that he believes we were unlucky, rather than poor.

The boss went on to say that we’d given everything but did admit that at times perhaps we did have a ‘lapse in concentration’, particularly when we were 1-0 up, which caused the Baggies to get back into the game and subsequently win it.

Overall, there’s not much we can do now. Were we at our best? Far from it. But the boss is right that there were several factors that did come down to sheer lack of luck, which can’t be helped.
