Former Liverpool man-turned-pundit, Dietmar Hamann, has called for the FA to make an example out of Diego Costa, claiming there is no place for ‘thugs’ like him in the game.
Sadly, it seems as if the FA have no intention of listening to anyone as they’ve hit the Chelsea cheat with just one charge that carries a three-game ban, completely ignoring all his other offences during the game.
Taking to Twitter, Hamann said
I’d give Costa 6 games. 3 for hitting Koscielny in the face and 3 for scratching Paulista. No place for thugs in the game.

It’s not often we agree with Liverpool folks, but it’s hard not to in this instance.
As if the whole thing hasn’t been farcical enough, Gabriel has been hit with an extra charge despite his initial red card appearing to be one of the most harsh you’ve ever seen.
Mike Dean, meanwhile, has not been demoted or received any sort of sanction for being an odious little turd.
