Arsenal are one of many clubs reportedly interested in Barcelona B winger Jose Arnaiz, and could make an approach for the youngster in the summer.

Arnaiz is enjoying a good first season with Barcelona’s second team and is already being linked with other clubs.

According ro beIN Sports, Arsenal are one of several Premier League clubs interested in him. They say that Arnaiz has a £17m release clause that will rise to £40m after 2020.

Having joined from Valladolid in the summer, the 22-year-old has scored and created 10 goals in 19 games for the Barcelona B side in the Spanish second division. His form earned him game time in the Copa del Rey for Barcelona’s first-team, for whom he has three goals in three games.

BEIN Sports’ report, though, doesn’t tell us anything new. Arsenal were linked with the winger earlier this season, with reports claiming they could pay his release clause.

It was also noted that the move couldn’t happen in January, as Arnaiz had already been registered with the maximum number of allowed clubs this season. The Spaniard could be an option in the summer, but for now, he’s staying at Barcelona.
