Belgium were valiant and will leave the tournament with their head held high, unlike Norway who failed under their new coach, finishing without a point.

Netherlands came into the European Championships off the back of fantastic form, having beaten Austria 3-0 and Wales 5-0 before their opening group game.

And they’ve made it to the quarter-finals having conceded just one goal from three matches.

Denmark 1 (Veje 5) Norway 0

Norway lost 1-0 to Denmark conceding an early goal, and failed to score in the tournament, even missing a penalty on final day.

It was a major surprise given Norway were one of the favorites going into the European Championships. They will have a tough World Cup qualifying group and it will be interesting to see what will happen to the manager and squad of playing after this disaster.

Denmark won’t care, however. They came into the tournament off the back of shaky form, having lost to England and Austria before the European Championships started.

But after beating Belgium 1-0 in their opener, courtesy of Troelsgaard-Nielsen’s early goal, and their recent narrow victory over Norway, they are in the final eight.
