Arsenal fans are unhappy after seeing yet another promising player leave Monaco for a Premier League rival, while they are yet to procure the signature of Thomas Lemar.
Fans have already watched as highly rated midfielders Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko joined Manchester City and Chelsea respectively. City announced the signing of Benjamin Mendy recently.
Real Madrid have reportedly agreed a fee with Monaco for Kylian Mbappe too. Arsenal, on the other hand, haven’t yet managed to sign anyone from the French champions.
Penny for Thomas Lemar's thoughts right now as he looks around the Monaco dressing room.

To add to the situation, Arsenal fans still haven’t forgotten that Anthony Martial was described as ‘not-for-sale’ to Arsène Wenger, before being sold to Manchester United that same summer.
Arsenal have been chasing Thomas Lemar all summer – and if you believe reports, Kylian Mbappé as well – but haven’t managed to get anywhere in negotiations.
All this has led to a very unhappy group of Arsenal fans on Twitter. First we have a fan who thinks Monaco should be a bit more grateful to their former manager:
Monaco happily sold Bakayoko, Mendy and Silva to PL clubs, but wont budge on selling Lemar to a manager who gave them their 1st league title

He wasn’t the only one to notice all the activity, or non-activity in Arsenal’s case, this summer:
Monaco have now sold Mendy, Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva to Premier League clubs. But they won't let us have Lemar or Mbappé. Fantastic

Some fans seemed to start to lose hope:

Whilst others appear to have already lost it:
Almost certain we will not sign Thomas Lemar now. @Arsenal #AFC #TransferTalk #arsenal

The window still isn’t closed, but it’s looking more and more difficult that Arsenal will be able to land their targets in Monaco, with the massive amount of money the club has already brought in.
