Arsenal have reportedly resigned themselves to the fact that they’re not signing Kylian Mbappe this summer… again.

Arsenal have been blowing hot and cold in their reported pursuit of Monaco striker, Mbappe.

Now, they’ve reportedly appeared to accept reality and realise that the amount of money involved in signing this 18-year-old, as well as the competition for his signature, is astronomical.

Instead, they’re going to focus on signing Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette.

While it was previously reported that the Gunners were going to end their chase for Mbappe, reports then began popping up in the French media about Arsene Wenger calling the player up and being ‘in’ with his family, which suggested that the Frenchman’s interest had swung back around to the teenager.

Arsenal will now fully focus on signing Lacazette, who scored 37 goals in 45 appearances last season, and is expected to set the Gunners back up to £60m including add-ons.
