Arsenal have announced the signing of Schalke left-back, Sead Kolasinac.

While Kolasinac was also linked with moves to Milan, Manchester City, Everton, and Tottenham, Arsenal always appears to be the front-runners.

Back in April, a Bosnian outlet claimed that a deal had been reached and while Kolasinac’s father insisted that this wasn’t true, reports later emerged that the left-back had signed a pre-contract with Arsenal over 40 days ago.

Talks appeared to progress with the 23-year-old having his medical in May.

Kolasinac’s Schalke contract has come to an end so Arsenal have signed him on a free.

Last season, he made 36 appearances over all competitions and tallied up nine assists. He also scored three in the Bundesliga.

Known as the ‘Bosnian Hulk’ and renowned for his ‘physical’ playing style, Kolasinac could be the no-nonsense defender Arsenal have been looking for.
