AC Milan have pulled out of the race to sign James Rodriguez, leaving the door open to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

  • Milan have been put off by Madrid’s asking price
  • Arsenal were said to be interested
  • Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested

James Rodriguez’s Madrid future is in doubt after he spent most of last season on the bench. His exclusion from their Champions League final squad seemed to suggest that an exit was inevitable.

AC Milan were one of the club’s interested in signing him but have reportedly backed off due to Madrid’s asking price, according to talkSPORT. This will encourage the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, who are all believed to be interested in the Colombian.

Arsenal were believed to have had a bid for him rejected. Madrid’s asking price is said to be above £60m. Arsenal may reignite their interest if they lose one of Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil this summer.
