Arsenal have missed out on the chance to sign Ever Banega.
- Arsenal, United and Spurs have been keen on Banega since 2014
- Since, the midfielder signed for Sevilla, then Inter
- Last season he scored six and assisted eight in 28 Serie A appearances
- The 28-year-old is moving back to Sevilla pending a medical
Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur were allegedly ‘in talks’ with Inter’s Banega while he was still at Valencia three years ago, and the Gunners have supposedly been long-term admirers of the attacking midfielder.
The 28-year-old went on to play for Sevilla in La Liga, where he spent two years before moving to Italy.
He’s now returning to Sevilla.
Banega only left the Spanish club last summer on a free. However, he’s ready to return, having made 28 Serie A appearances for Inter, in which he scored six goals and assisted eight.
Sevilla announced on their official website that they and Inter have reached an agreement. The midfielder is set to sign a three-year deal pending his medical.
The Argentine had two years left on his team in Italy.
