Arsene Wenger admitted ahead of Swansea that although the international break does disrupt Arsenal’s rhythm a bit, the mark of a good team is how quickly they bounce back and return to form.

The boss is used to international breaks. He has, after all, been Arsenal manager for 20 years now (not sure if you’d heard?).

Therefore, he probably has his own ways of returning the squad to Premier League football. Saying this, we’ve been far from immune from post-interlul injuries over the years and I’m sure Wenger will be extra cautious against Swansea. We’ll probably see a slightly rotated squad.

Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash on Saturday, Wenger was quick to point out that not only do international breaks actually have no effect on our results but the mark of a good team is one that can return to action quickly.

“Yes [they disrupt us], but I’m used to that and maybe the quality of a Premier League team is to be capable of refocusing quickly coming back from international games,” he said.

“That’s what is at stake for us – to show that, despite the interruption, we can restart at the same level we had before.”

Hopefully the fresh, fit members of the team can put in a good shift and carry on where we left off before the break.
